THIS YEAR
will be an exciting year
as Faith Regional Health Services con-
tinues to focus on achieving our vision:
to become a regional referral center
and provide the most comprehensive
and high-quality health services to residents of northeast
Nebraska. We are identifying new health care opportuni-
ties for growth and expansion to enhance services for our
patients and realize our goal.
Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT) is one of
those services and will be available at the Carson Cancer
Center in early spring. SBRT has the potential to greatly re-
duce the number of radiation treatments a patient receives.
A patient’s length of treatment could be reduced from four
or five weeks to only one week.
We continue to recruit specialized physicians to the region in an effort to bring
more advanced procedures to Norfolk. In 2015, 11 board-certified physicians—
many of them fellowship-trained—joined Faith Regional’s medical staff. These
physicians provide cutting-edge medicine, such as peripheral nerve surgery and
endoscopic ultrasound—a minimally invasive procedure that captures images
and/or a biopsy from the digestive tract and surrounding tissues and organs—
which are bringing patients here from across Nebraska and the U.S.
We are committed to moving forward with our vision! It is a privilege to pro-
vide care for the patients of northeast Nebraska and beyond!
