HAND IT TO

BENJAMIN!

This young man is wholly

on the road to recovery

Helping you get back on track

Did you ring in 2016 with a New Year’s resolution? Around 45 percent of

Americans make one, but by the end of the first week in January, a quarter

of those have already given up. If you’re one of them, the articles in this issue

of

Living Well

are aimed at getting you back on track: tips for starting a new

walking plan, ways to shave 100 calories a day and how to stay well as a

family. Maybe you’ve decided to tackle a nagging medical issue, like urinary

incontinence. Our therapists share ways to treat this condition that affects

25 million Americans. If you’ve been dealing with chronic

pain, peripheral nerve surgery may be for you. We also

share information on treating peripheral arterial dis-

ease (PAD), the benefits of 3-D mammography and

the story of one young man’s yearlong road to re-

gain function of his hand after a traumatic injury.

Hopefully these articles will provide the tips,

resources and the inspiration you need to be

successful in achieving your New Year’s goals.
