2015
is a de ning year for health
care systems throughout the U.S.
Many of the new policies brought
about through health care reform
are taking effect and impacting all
hospitals as we continue to see a
transition from inpatient to outpatient
care. Faith Regional Health Services
has worked diligently over the past
few years to attain Meaningful Use
stages 1 and 2 and to be prepared to
manage things like population health,
bundling of payments, and payments
for quality outcomes, as well as reim-
bursement tied to patient satisfaction.
From our board of directors and lead-
ership to medical staff and employees,
our focus has been on providing an
outstanding patient experience with
excellent quality outcomes. This will
continue to be our strategy through-
out this year.
We plan to achieve these goals
through new processes to improve
patient satisfaction. Daily rounds by
administration, hourly rounds by staff
and bedside reporting in all inpa-
tient units give us the opportunity
to engage directly with our patients,
involve patients directly with their
care and learn how we can make their
stay in our hospital better. Our 2014
Outstanding Patient Experience Award
™
by Healthgrades
®
re ects our overall
patient satisfaction and we are proud to
be recognized for this achievement for
the second year in a row.
Other 2015 Healthgrades awards
that are awarded based on quality data
submitted to the Centers for Medicare
& Medicaid Services represent our
commitment to excellence at Faith
Regional. These awards include:

ment of heart failure.

These quality awards give our pa-
tients the con dence of knowing that
when they choose to come to Faith
Regional, they
are getting the
highest qual-
ity of care that
follows national
standards and
best practices.
In January, we
installed a new
MAGNETOM
®
Aera MRI system, the most power-
ful MRI system in the industry and
in our region. The purchase of this
state-of-the-art equipment allows us
to continue to be the regional leader
and expands our imaging capabilities
at Faith Regional.
In 2015, the regional provider
network that Faith Regional and
eight other hospitals in Nebraska are
involved in, will continue to identify
ways in which we can partner, such
as group purchasing and sharing of
expertise that will support our efforts
to keep costs down in light of reduced
reimbursement from Medicare and
Medicaid.
Ensuring that our patients have the
best experience and highest quality
care at an affordable cost is our pri-
mary goal in 2015.
Our bright future of healing
