best way to pro-
tect from skin cancer
is to seek shade,
utilize protective
clothing and apply
a broad-spectrum
sunscreen of SPF 30
or greater. Make sure
to apply it 15 to 30
minutes before sun
exposure and reap-
ply, especially when
engaging in water
sports activities.”

Check everyone for ticks
after spending time in tall grass or
wooded areas.

It’s what
causes the sun damage to your
skin. Try to keep your skin covered,
and seek shade.

Be sure your
child’s car seat is installed cor-
rectly before you find yourself in a
crash. Because you do not get to choose
what type of crash you will be in.

indow guards.
Warm
weather means open windows
at your home, and open windows
can be dangerous for kids. Consider
installing window guards to prevent
children from falling out of open
windows.
X
—eXtra vigilance.
It’s what’s
required of adults when children
are in or near water. Don’t take your eyes
off them, even for a moment.
