TODAY,
hospitals throughout
the U.S. often receive less reimburse-
ment from insurance companies
and the government than what it
costs to provide medical services.
This reduction in payment costs
hospitals billions of dollars every year.
At the same time, the costs of labor,
medications and technology are in-
creasing. Add to that Americans who
need health care whether they can
pay or not. These strains have made
foundations and fundraising more
important than ever for hospitals to
survive.
The Faith Regional Foundation
raises money and community aware-
ness for Faith Regional Health Services
and helps keep the hospital connected
with the communities it serves. The
Foundation uses several methods in
fundraising, including:

Annual mailings to former patients
and community members.

Capital campaigns.
•
Planned giving of an estate through
a will.
•
Endowments.
•
Grateful Patient program.
•
Honors program.
•
Faith Regional Employee “Dream
Team” program.
•
Special events.
Contributions from these sources
help with building or maintaining
facilities, buying new medical equip-
ment, providing scholarships, and
offering support for hospital pro-
grams and services. The Foundation is
securing high-quality health care for
generations to come by helping Faith
Regional Health Services pursue its
mission to serve Christ by providing
all people with exemplary medical
services in an environment of love
and care.
