Faith Regional Health Services | living WELL | Fall 2018

Kelly Driscoll, RN, MHA, FACHE President and CEO BIGGER ISN’T ALWAYS BETTER, and just because you are living in a rural environment doesn’t mean you have to drive to the “big city” for care. Faith Regional is committed to providing easily accessible, high-quality, convenient health care where you live. We continue to identify health care services needed most, how many people need those services, and if and where we can minimize the burden of area residents having to travel out- of-area when they could receive those services locally. This is why Faith Regional continually recruits highly trained medical providers to the region. In 2018 alone, 20 new medical providers joined Faith Regional’s medical staff, ranging from primary care providers to specialists and surgeons. Bringing more medical providers to the region expands the health care services available not only in Norfolk but throughout Northeast Nebraska by enabling the hospital to establish additional outreach clinics. When identifying outreach locations, our first priority is to support the medical foundation that already exists in these communities by partnering with community leaders and area providers to identify health care services needed. In 2018, four new outreach locations were added, including breast surgical oncology services in O’Neill and cardiology services in Albion. Outreach services don’t just focus on the need for more specialized care. They can also include the need for additional primary care providers. This winter, Faith Regional Physician Services (FRPS) will open a new primary care clinic in Humphrey. The clinic will be open five days a week and have x-ray services available on site. Faith Regional also knows that injuries and sickness don’t just strike between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, which is why our services like urgent care and virtual visits are great, convenient options! FRPS Urgent Care is open seven days a week, and FRPS Virtual Visit is accessible 24/7 to anyone with access to the internet and a computer, tablet or smart-enabled mobile device. Faith Regional is committed to providing multiple points of access to care, ensuring that everyone in our service area can receive the care they need, when they need it and as close to home as possible. More services. More medical providers. Closer to you. FRHS.ORG 3
