This can be through a number of different ways, including expanding our services, imple- menting new technology, exceeding standards of care and recruiting new specialists. Building This summer, construction was completed on the hospital’s newly remodeled Behavioral Health Unit. When many states are struggling to keep mental health care facilities open, Faith Regional is committed to providing this vital service to the many residents across Nebraska needing this level of care. Construction also continues on the new Medical Offices South Building. This new building not only helps address the need for more clinic space today but enables the hospital to strategically plan for future growth—especially as health care evolves and more services continue to move to an outpatient basis. Recruiting By the end of 2018, 20 new medical providers will have joined Faith Regional’s medical staff, including two new endocrinologists. Recruiting new specialists to the region elimi- nates the need for patients to travel out of the area for services, reducing many burdens on patients and their family members, including the need to take additional time off work and travel expenses. Patients often recover faster when they are involved in their health care decisions, have convenient access to care, and can remain close to home. Recruiting additional specialists and opening new clinics also enables Faith Regional to expand its workforce. The hospital is already the region’s largest employer, creating an economic impact that trickles down to communities across Northeast Nebraska. Investing in our community by building, recruiting and planning Faith Regional received the 2018 Healthgrades ® Distinguished Hospital Award for Clinical Excellence™, placing Faith Regional in the top 5 percent for clinical performance across the nation. This means our patients are experiencing less complications and better outcomes. While we are proud of our consistent national recognition, the awards are not why we do what we do, but a result of what we do every day to provide our patients with quality care in a safe environment.
